Rootine · Legal
Rootine is a daily planner, habit tracker, and mood journal published by Aveniq LLC. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and the choices you have — in plain language, matching exactly what's declared in the App Store and Google Play privacy disclosures.
Rootine ("the App") is developed and published by Aveniq LLC, operating under the brand Opplox — this is why the app is hosted at rootine.opplox.com. You can reach us at admin@aveniq.digital with any question about this policy or your data.
The App is designed to work fully anonymously — you're never required to create an account. Here's what's collected, and why:
| Data type | Purpose | Collected via |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous device identifier | Let you use the app without creating an account | Firebase Auth (anonymous) |
| Email address (optional) | Only if you choose to create an account, to sync across devices | Firebase Auth |
| Planner, habit & mood entries | Core app function; synced only if you opt into an account | Firebase Firestore |
| Purchase / subscription status | Unlock premium templates you've paid for, restore purchases | RevenueCat, Google Play Billing / Apple StoreKit |
| App usage & crash data | Fix bugs, understand which features are used | Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics |
| Advertising identifier | Show ads in the free tier | Google AdMob |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not read the content of your planner, habit, or mood entries for advertising purposes.
On-device backup. In anonymous mode, your entries are stored only on your device. Your device's own OS backup (Android Auto Backup, or iCloud backup on iOS, if enabled) may include this data — the same way it would for any other app on your phone. This is what lets you keep your streaks and history when you get a new phone. It's encrypted and governed entirely by your own Google or Apple account, never sent to us. You can turn this off in your device's own backup settings if you'd rather your local entries never leave the device at all.
Rootine is available worldwide, and where you live may give you additional rights on top of the choices above.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland: our legal basis for processing your data is (a) performance of a contract, for core app functionality; (b) legitimate interests, for crash diagnostics and product analytics; and (c) consent, for personalized advertising, which you can withdraw at any time through your device's ad settings. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident: you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" — we do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA.
Wherever you are: because we rely on services like Firebase, RevenueCat, and Google AdMob, your data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. These providers maintain contractual safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable) for these international transfers.
Synced data is retained while your account is active, and deleted on request or automatically after 12 months of account inactivity.
Rootine is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction, which may be higher — up to 16 — in some EEA countries). We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.
We'll update this page and notify users in-app of any material changes.
